First Post

This is the first post to my new blog. I work in Information Technology in the Health Insurance Plan space. I will be using this blog to share my thoughts in this field. My passion is in using technology to bring efficiency and exceptional service to all those involved in the Medical community, be it payers, members, providers, etc. The Health Insurance and Provider spaces have not kept up their Information Technology capabilities, like other large industries such as Financial Services and Manufacturing. However, I think now is an extremely exciting time for IT and Healthcare because there are many technology initiatives that are now being demanded that will make for a lot of very exciting, challenging and rewarding technology projects for all in this space.
